About Us
History
The eleventh day of June, 1960 was a day written in golden letters in the history of Tenali, Andhra Pradesh, South India. That year 21 noble minds of Brahmin community – whose nature was love, religion was service and philosophy was peace – entertained a sanctimonious idea in unison, viz; to benefit the society at large and Brahmin community in particular. Thus, “BRAHMANA PARISHAD “, as their Brains’ child, had its birth, with Regd. No: 23/1960.
The pioneers of this sacred saga formed an ad hoc committee that functioned for three years. They were:

Today they are souls of revered memory, yet shower their choicest blessings for the prosperity of the Parishat. The posterity, against the flutings five decades of time stood to their expectations and won kudos.
Objectives
The main objectives of the Parishad are:
- Promote universal peace and social progress, adhering to scriptures and traditional norms.
- Study, preach, practice and propagate the spirit of Vedic knowledge.
- Promote ethical values and help the comprehensive development of all the facets of individual personality.
- Help in the sustenance and the financial stability of the needy members.
- Endeavour to rationalize the feeling of unity among the diverse sects of Brahminhood.
- Improve the infra-structure and other resources by cooperation and stabilize the organization.
- Establish a ‘fund’ for achieving the above objectives
Organization
The general body of the Parishad consists of Brahmins who were enrolled as permanent members on payment of Rs. 250/- as life membership. The General Body meets during the lunar month of Vaishakha and makes resolutions on the developmental and other organizational issues. It discusses and approves the audited annual accounts. The present strength of the membership of Brahman Parishad, Tenali is around 750.
Executive Council:
